Training
As well as providing extensive in-house training for our outreach and centre staff and volunteers, we also offer training packages for other agencies and individuals who are working with people with brain injuries.
We offer a two-day Disability Awareness Training package, raising awareness and understanding of acquired brain injury, that anybody whose work brings them into contact with the public will find invaluable.
We also hold an annual conference - 'The Cost of Brain Injury' - which is a chance for those working in any aspect of the field of acquired brain injury to learn more from key figures. The 2008 conference will take place on 3 October at Sandy Park Conference Centre in Exeter. Confirmed speakers include Professor Alan Tennant, Dr Barbara Wilson, Dr Trevor Powell, and barrister Chris Bright, a personal injury specialist.
