Action for Brain Injury Week 2008

A week of fundraising and awareness events will raise the profile of brain injuries in Devon.

Highlights of the week include:

  • Appreciation Lunch for funders and supporters of the Exeter Centre, taking place on Monday 31 March;
  • Hands-on training day designed to show people what it is like to live with the effects of a brain injury - taking place on Tuesday 1 April and to be attended by the Lord Mayor of Exeter, Chief Inspector Adrian Brigden of Devon and Cornwall Police, and Exeter City Centre Manager John Harvey;
  • Official opening of our new centre in Torquay on Thursday 3 April, by Nick Bye, Mayor of Torbay.

The week's events will be accompanied by media coverage highlighting issues facings children and adults with acquired brain injuries. Headway Devon is featured on page 164 of the April edition of Devon Life.
