Students raise over £1000 on 'long walk home'Most university students return home by car, train, or bus at the end of term - but no such ease for Torquay students Ben Quick and Susie Williams, who walked home to raise money for Headway Devon. They arrived back in Barnstaple at 3pm on Friday 18 July, five long weeks after setting out and after enduring day after day of difficult weather and challenging conditions. The pair chose to complete the fundraising challenge in aid of Headway Devon because Ben suffered a severe brain injury after he collided with a car while roller-skating in 2002, when he was 16.
