Recent fundraising events have put a real spring in our step here at Headway Devon. From bucket collections and raffles to coffee mornings and grants, our supporters have gone above and beyond to support local people with brain injuries.

This seasonal fundraising began with a coffee morning at the Meads in Silverton in May raising £161 through the sale of teas, coffees and some delicious homemade cakes, while a generous donation from Pennon Group PLC for some new pots and pans has enabled clients at our Tiverton centre to polish their skills in the kitchen.

Following on from this, two hugely successful collections at the Guildhall and Alphington Sainsbury’s stores in Exeter for Carers’ Week raised an impressive £255 as well as boosting our profile in the local community.

In Exmouth, the organisers of the 3rd Velo Vintage event, a “time to cycle, converse, take tea and dress with style”, held a raffle which benefitted Headway Devon to the tune of £403.

Finally, we were delighted to find that many generous shoppers chose to put their green Community Matters tokens in our box at Waitrose in Exeter meaning that we will be receiving £370 as a result.

Despite these huge successes, we still face real challenges in raising the funds that we need to provide the standard of support that local people with brain injuries need and deserve. If you’ve been inspired by some of the successes here, get in touch with Holly by calling 01392 211822 or emailing, to find out how you can be a part of our summer fundraising success story!
