Are you up for the challenge? Don’t miss out – enter our charity ballot for the London Marathon 2015 today
After celebrating the success of our first ever London Marathon runner in 2014, Headway Devon are delighted to announce that we have space for a runner to represent our charity at the London Marathon in 2015.
The 2015 London Marathon will take place on Sunday 26th April in London and covers a distance of 26.2 miles. The sponsorship target is £1,500, and the winner of our place will also be asked to pay a £50 entry fee to secure their place.
As a local charity with just one entrant, Headway Devon will provide truly personalised support for the successful runner and as the sole representative of our charity this runner will have the chance to make a real difference to the lives of local people with brain injuries.
As well as a place in this world famous event, the successful runner will receive:
- A fundraising pack and resources
- Headway Devon sponsorship forms
- A Headway Devon branded running vest
- Dedicated fundraising support and advice from our Fundraising Manager
- The opportunity to attend Headway UK’s pre-marathon pasta party
For runners who have entered the public ballot
The public ballot for marathon places has now closed, and applicants will hear in October whether they have been successful. If you have already applied for a place through the public ballot, please feel free to apply for our place and let us know if you no longer need it when you hear the result of the public ballot in October.
Headway Devon will be accepting applications up until 31st October 2014 and will inform all applicants by the end of November if they have been chosen as our runner for 2015.
