Popular Autumn Bazaar returns to raise funds for brain injury survivors
Our popular Autumn Bazaar will be returning to the Open Door Centre on Church Street in Exmouth on Thursday 25th October from 10am-2pm. Entry is free and as well as delicious homemade cakes and hot drinks, there will be a second-hand stall and a raffle with fantastic prizes.
Organised by the people who attend and run Headway Devon’s day centre in Exmouth, the event raises vital funds for this important local service.
Centre manager, Diana Russell, says, “Events like this are a great way for us to boost our centre’s coffers at the same time as letting people know about the vital work that is going on right here in the local community.
“Our coffee mornings are always popular in Exmouth and we’re very grateful to all the members of the public who come in to enjoy some home baking, try their luck in our raffle and find out more about what Headway Devon does. We are also very thankful to the many local businesses who support our centre and donate raffle prizes to this event.”
All funds raised at the sale will be used to improve the services available to people with brain injuries through Headway Devon’s day centre in Exmouth. The centre provides weekly support to people who have survived head injuries, stroke, brain tumour, meningitis and many other illnesses and accidents, but have been left facing difficulties and disabilities as a result.
