Support for families and carers

At Headway Devon we recognise the vital role that carers perform and we are committed to ensuring that carers feel well-equipped to perform their role. Our staff team are available on the phone to offer support, information and advice when needed.

All of our services offer valuable respite opportunities for carers. Our long history of working with people with brain injuries and our specialist skills mean that the person you care for will be in safe hands, leaving you free to carry out chores, spend time with friends and family, or simply unwind.

We also run carers drop-in sessions in Exeter. These sessions are run by a Manager at Headway Devon and offer information, support and advice for carers who support someone with an acquired brain injury. The sessions are free to attend with complimentary tea and coffee and run from 10am-12pm at the XCentre on Commercial Road in Exeter. There is no need to register to attend, just come along on the day. Upcoming dates for carers drop-in sessions are Tuesday 5th December Tuesday 9th January 2018.
